I dont even want to drive it anymore, my silvia cause there are so many now, its becoming the next bellybutton car. i liked it cause there were not that many of them, but now everybody has one and its disgusting. Every week sumother kid has a S13 im tempted to sell mine just to get rid of it, i allready have a bellybutton i dont need 2

It's economics, in this example ill use GTR Skyline VS... 2008 cobalt SS

for 11 000 $$ your getting an rb26DETT, stock HP runs about 340, (with a tune). The car itself will clock under 15seconds... stock...

A cobalt SS starts at what 25k? why spend double the money for something that runs a lil slower, yeah you can argue IT CAN RUN 750HP ON STOCK CRANK ZOMG... but if you think about it, you could sink the other 14000 into the GTR's engine and make triple what a cobalt can do stock... for the same price? I even find myself wanting a skyline FFS...

Its the same with silvia's... there's sooo many in town along with skylines... everyone wants a RHD 5spd / 6 that makes power... and i totally agree with steve, if they made 5/6 spd aristo's ceifero's or soarer's that already have a bodykit on em, id have to jump on it lol

Why spend 20-30 K on a car that rolls off the lot... with what... maybe 300HP stock? and FWD too.. in fact, i dont even think it makes that... it gets very sad when i tlak to diff people and they are like... yeah ima buy a cobalt.. and im like, your gunna pay out the ass for a POS car thats slower than something thats under 1/2 price? what? Yeah some people like cobalts, they look decent but for 25K i could make a skyline or silvia that much better lol not to mention you could find a wrecked GTR for under 2k and repair it for less than 5K??? Anyways... my 25cents

Stock T/C is 260Hp and 260Ftlbs

And stock GTR's make ~325HP and 300Ftlbs

Sr20det's make 202HP 203Ftlbs

Not to mention you can find sr20det s13's for like 5-7K...

Its called warranty, and knowing you have a reliable car everytime your getting in it to drive it. and I've yet to see a completely flawless skyline, silvia or anything from japan. I would get in a hellll of alot more trouble with a RWD with lots more power then a cobalt SS. Seeing as I already lost my license once, and am back down to having 2 demerit points left, I need to stay away from trouble with the law. Its all in personal preferance. And what you values of a car are.

First off Cobalt SS runs under 15 seconds stock as well SC or TC, oh and i bought my cobalt ss used for 18g when skyline GTRs were goin for 11-14g on avg that sure as shit aint 14g difference, ever heard the saying RB- Running me broke.. ya sure its a powerful motor series but they sure as shit arent reliable once you start putting money into them... and to call a cobalt a pos..sure is a ballsy move when ppl go out with THEIR OWN MONEY and buy the car themselves do all the work THEMSELVES and have a motor in there car that was on wards 10 best engines list for 2006! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ward%27s_10_Best_Engines ... and if i want to drive a car with no ac, no leather, no luxury i wouldnt have bought it but thats what i wanted so i bought it.. if i want to buy the fastest thing out there i woulda bought a Hayabusa! If you are gonna start posting hp numbers please post correct numbers ie the gtr stock hp is approximately 276hp with a torque number somewhere around 260ft/lbs not 325hp and 300ft/lbs of torque
and dont go and say thats with a tune cus the new tc cobalts with a tune make close to 300hp!
